Teach Equip exists to strengthen local churches. There is so much Bible teaching happening outside of the walls of the local church. And while that is helpful, we believe that local teaching is the most transformative form of Bible teaching. There’s nothing like hearing God’s word taught by someone you know, someone who can help you apply it to your particular circumstances and context. This is why we gather each Sunday with our congregations. But we’d love to see all Bible teaching become more local. From small groups to Bible studies and events, why not have your own church members do the teaching, rather than relying on videos and outside teachers?

One reason we don’t do this is because we have no place to trained teachers and let them practice. This is why we created Teach Equip. To train lay Bible teachers and provide them safe places to practice so that they are equipped to serve their local congregations with God’s Word.

We provide the training to make sure you feel equipped to lead your group through this program. We are available to you through out the time you’re leading to help however you need it.

How It Works: Peer-Led or Leader-Led

There are two models to use Teach Equip in your church: Peer-Led or Leader-Led. Both leadership models will help you achieve the goal of training up lay Bible teachers through classes, labs, and homework. Which model you choose depends on your particular situation and goals. We encourage you to choose the one that works best for your particular situation and goals.

  • We believe that local Bible teachers are the most transformative. They are able to apply the scriptures most effectively because they know they people they are teaching. They know the questions they have and the problems they face. They also have the trust of their listeners because they do life with them. We believe each church has lay men and women eager to do this work, they just need some training and some practice. That’s where Teach Equip can help.

  • Yes, we currently still are offering Teach Equip as an online class. Applications open in August, spots are limited.

  • No, we have developed a peer to peer model of teaching that allows churches without any prior experience with Teach Equip to still implement the program.

  • Labs are what makes our program unique. Labs are practice teachings opportunities where students are able teach and receive feedback. We believe these labs help them build real teaching skills in a safe, but supportive environment.

  • We recommend charging students for this program because it communicates the value of the training they will be receiving, It assists in their own personal commitment to give their best efforts throughout the program. We charge $699 for this course and that is still more affordable than anything else on the market today. And this course remains the most comprehensive, hands-on Bible teacher training available to date.

    Of course you are free to charge whatever you want. Or not charge anything. Once you license the materials, you are free to use them to train students with or without recouping your costs. We generally see a student fee only help students in their growth.

    Another option is charging your students and then giving their fees back to them once they graduate.

  • We don’t offer discounts at this time. But we will provide a $250 referral bonus for every church you send our way. We will send a bonus for every church you refer to us that purchases a license.

  • If you can’t pay the one-time annual fee, we offer a payment plan option. You would pay your annual license in four equal installments throughout the program. Both options provide the same access and benefits—just pick the one that works best for your church.

  • Each one of your students will need to create an account on our website to access their student materials. We charge a one-time $49 admin fee for each student.
