STUDY TOOLS

These resources are built to teach you to teach the Bible and you can start now! We’ve both benefitted from these resources greatly.

  • Study Bibles — Don’t underestimate the value of a great study Bible! We’d recommend purchasing one if you don’t already have one. Study Bibles we love:

History of Israel Timeline — I use this chart all the time when studying the Old Testament! —Kelly

The Essential Bible Companion — Great resource with both concise and thorough information about each book of the Bible, including maps, cultural context, and definition of key terms.

Zondervan Atlas of the Bible — I love having a physical atlas to look at when locating places in the Bible.

Dictionary of Biblical Imagery — This is a special Bible dictionary in that it focuses on the imagery used in the Bible, like shepherds and farming, etc.

  • BlueLetterBible.org — A great, free resource giving you access to extensive cross references, original greek and hebrew words, easy access to compare translations, commentaries and so much more.

NetBible.org — Powerful online resource with access to multiple Bible translations, Bible translator notes, as well as Dr. Constable’s expository commentary. You can also create an account, and save notes, bookmarks, highlights, etc.

  • SonicLight.com — Free commentary on every book of the Bible by Dr. Constable (former DTS professor).

  • BestCommentaries.com — A great place to find trusted commentaries for every book of the Bible.
