Frequently Asked Questions
What is Teach Equip? It is a 7-month, locally-run, high-quality training program designed to equip lay church members to study, write, and deliver faithful and engaging Bible lessons. We have licensed all the video lectures, materials, and support resources directly from Teach Equip.
Why is our church offering this?We are committed to raising up powerful Bible communicators from within our own church family. We believe a local leader who knows the community is the most effective messenger. This program allows us to invest directly in you.
How is this different from a seminary course?Teach Equip is shorter, less intensive, and immediately practical. It’s focused on teaching you the skills of biblical communication so you can step into a ministry role right away, without the long-term commitment of a college or seminary degree.
What is a "Lab"?Labs are what makes this program unique! They are practice teaching opportunities where you will teach a short message and receive safe, structured, and supportive feedback. It is the best place to build confidence and real-world teaching skills.
How much time will this take?We estimate the time commitment to be 15–20 hours per month. This includes a monthly class, one homework assignment, required reading, and preparing for your three teaching labs.
How do I apply? The application process ensures we have a dedicated and committed class. You can find the application form, the full course syllabus, and more details here: [Link to your own application page].
